After all of the excitement on our previous mission, I didn’t expect much from trying to root out a trade syndicate gotten too big for itself. We went to Vonegal, planet Linara and were met by an officious little twi’lek named Master Aurek. I’ve not got much respect for people who act like they’re more than they really are. And maybe this man doesn’t mean anything by it, but the only Masters I know use the Force. Still and all, he’s who we had.
We’re given basically no leads, aside from the name Voran Stalton. I figured that we’d need to end up shaking him down, but I didn’t say so. Unified front. There’s enough fragmentation in the galaxy as things stand. So we go and talk to some merchants. And guess what, all signs point back to Stalton. He’s been hitting up the merchants for protection money, like I’ve not seen that racket before, and he’s got goons backing him up.
We end up splitting the group to pursue different leads. And wouldn’t you know it? We end up on Stalton’s trail, his goons on high alert.
There are a few things I know about my life now, with the Force. One: I’m part of something bigger, and that’s important to me. Two: We’re doing what’s right in serving our Masters in these missions; justice needs to be done. And Three: we will, as a squadron, team, strikeforce, or whatever you want to call us, we will never be subtle about what we do. I expect bigger trouble will soon find us. Or us it, as the Force wills.
